i think your LFS is way over priced .. digital thermometers cost $10 at my LFS , SWF.com sells refractometers for $50. you bought a lot of stuff that wasn't great quality and lost money.. your first heater went bad. you used $60 on a test kit that was a piece of junk and maybe if you got the extra testers like CALC,ALK,PH all toghter it would have been cheapar. and for $8 a lb thats a lot .. i couldnt imagine for that much. my lfs sells for 3.50 a lb.I
