How much Live Sand?

I have a 75g tank with about 80lbs of live rock, how much Live Sand should I get? I want to do a DSB.

I would suggest 150 pounds of dead sand topped with 10 - 20 pounds of high quality live sand.

When you say "dead" sand, are you talking about play sand?

The only "playsand" I advocate is 100% pure Aragonite sand from the Carribean. Otherwise go with a commercial Oolithic aragonite sand or a very fine grade 100% pure Silica sand.
Most Playsand is far too contaminated for a saltwater aquarium. If it ain't pure White, it ain't pure.
