Thats a very "open" question...nobody can give an exact amount or frequency unless you give all of your details.......I feed mine twice a day for instance.

Most fish are fine being fed once a day or even every two days. I have scaled back to every two days w/o problems.

just in general, not including the special feeding of corals, just fish

Sometimes when I walk by the tanks and remember that I have fish I will feed them...usually happens every couple months or so.
:scared:
Just Kidding!!!
It varies. Sometimes twice a day, sometimes every day, sometimes every other day and sometimes not for 3-4 days.

I feed mine every day-sometimes twice a day-they always seem hungry! Can't stand to think they are hungry...I am sure they have me fooled and they know how to get to me....."feed me please"!!!!!!!!

Hi, I feed my fish twice a day. I have a Sixline Wrasse that is always hungry and a Mandarin Dragonet-Spotted that I have to watch eat just to make sure he's eating. It's not that he's not hungry it's just that they don't have their eyes positioned where they can see the food when they lunge forward. Good Question by the way.

I feed dried krill in the morning and then thawed frozen brine after work and before bed. I go by the rule, all food is gone in under two minutes and everyone gets to eat. I can tell when they get full and have figured out pretty much how much to feed. I'm sure I could cut it back a bit but I don't want to stress them out or make them fight for space or food.
There are plants and every few days I clip an algae sheet in there for the tang.

1 to 2 times a day. I have been overfeeding though due to intense competition betwen my sixline wrasse and a bluefin damsel. Now that the mean one is netted I have cut it down, dried krill in the AM and pellets in the PM. I will feed them just so that I can watch them though. SO much fun watching the wrasse eat he uses his mouth like a straw.

about once a month or so really!!!!
most of the fish I have are grazers and graze the rocks with a proper setup and tank maturity with a refugium it works very well.
one of the biggest problems in SW is feeding daily unless there is fish that require specific feedings and types. grazers constantly eat algae and stuff off the rocks feeding them regularly only keeps them from foraging the rocks and keeping them clean. also a number one problem in water chemistry is over feeding which leads to more algaes and unwanted items in the tank.
before anyone says anything negative about this all of my fish are fat and happy even if they only get feed occasionally.

my dad and i have started a pattern that lasts three days. he "invented" what he calls his concoction lol with shrimp pellets, 2 kinds of powder for the corals, and my delicy of raw shrimp/scallops. the next day is formula two and the next day is our flakes that have veggies and meat in it. each morning we put some of my raw food in for PJ so he wont have to fight tuffy and bob for it

1 or 2 times a day. But i think i am feeding my fish once a day and my nasty green algae once a day. But like they said earlier, they always look hungry. And I would rather have fat fish, and some algae (getting ready to order my clean up crew) then skinny fish that fight with each other over food

1-3 times a day, depending on how much the scooter blenny eats (sometimes I have to spot feed him). Brine everyday, and flakes every other. I also do some pellets, mysis, and something else I can't remember the name of, it's in my freezer though. Again with me all of the food is gone in about two minutes, and nothing makes it to the filter.

Very true. It also depends on the type of fish. I feed my seahorse 1-3 times a day. :happyfish
