How often should I feed my BTA ?

I have heard a lot of people feeding something like twice a week.
That may work, but you know my BTA, Mike. I feed mine a chunk of squid every day, and it devours it. Of course, my BTA is the size of my house (not really, all you tree sponge people...LOL), and that may be because I feed it so much.

I asked this question the other day to a LFS reef Guru, who has had an anemone for 9 years, yes 9 , , he says he never feeds his they are filterfeeders, and rarely catch fish in the wild, I was told this by another guy also ,I feed mine a silverside once every two weeks as a treat and they have been doing very well ,my green carpet when I got him 5 months ago was 8 inches in diameter, nows hes close to 20 inches, just my 2 cents:)

I suggest feeding it a LOT twice a week for maximum health. How much a lot is depends on the size. Possible 2 - 6 Silversides over the course of an hour. This mimics their natural capture rate as schools of baitfish swim by.

 Mine would never accept that much, I now have 5 anemones in my tank, I guess its another one of those things, what ever works for you:)

Thanks guys, I'm going to try each one and see what seems to work for him the best. 2 weeks of each should be good test bed....right ?
He LOVES squid !!! Yesterday, I accidentally dropped the bowl I had the pieces in and about 5 pieces floated toward him. Zoom...they were gone.
I'll try silversides next week, then put him on the "PlumRT" diet (Real men wear bowties) and see which he prefers.
Thanks again guys.
