which is exactly what i said, they can be deadly if the person has a bad reaction
Its not if they have a bad reaction; It is if they are allergic or not. Its just like with bees, to 99% of us they are pretty much harmless too however depending on the savarity (ie location meaning directly on a vain), how allargic you are, and time it takes to be properly treated it can occasionally be fatal. All that being said the only reason you will ever be stung is because of your own carelessness. As far as will it kill another fish probably however permiting the tank is large enough a Yellow Tang would be fine with a lion.
edit just read you last post it would be fine

I (personally) do not want a fish that is poisonous...or that has teeth

My friend at our shop got staphylococcus by cutting his hand on a piece of liverock, are you gonna stop putting that in your tank now too? Staph is a lot more likely to kill you than a lionfish is

Not a misunderstanding at all, but like I asked in GENERAL, why do people overall feel this way? Perhaps it is a question best suited for the aquarium section, so as not o hijack the OP thread.

It is my personal opinion...I have NEVER said anything about anyone else...or what they have....I have seen lion fish and they are beautiful...I just don't want one...
BTW I am allergic to bees....so if one flies into me...is that my fault

Well that is a completely different and understandable situation. However I still disagree with the Teeth part Harly Tusks are one of the best fish in the hobby IMO and everything including tangs and clowns HAVE teeth. I have seen a large female perc draw blood before and I have seen a man get his finger sliced to the bone by the cauldal spine of a large Doctorfish. The is no reason to just blindly write of a whole group of fish. As far as the bee goes yes it is, you should have seen it and ducked and rolled

I don't write them off at all...I just chose different types...I do have a stingray...and I know it has a "spur".....
MY cat has teeth, and so do my dogs ...heck even my kids have teeth

I just chose the tamer species (except the ray of course)

Yikes, that is kinda scary... I always wondered about what types of infections can be caused by cuts, corals, etc. from a saltwater environment.

I was stung by a 10 in volitan right above my fingernail. I was cleaning the tank and ran my finger right into him. IT felt like someone smashed my finger with a hammer, and them it got hot, red and swollen. It stayed swollen for 2 full days, and I could not bend the finger. I ended up just taking some benedryl because I started to get hot, and my heart started beating quite rapidly. Lesson learned!
