hydor and BTA

Anyone have a method in which they use to keep their BTA from getting sucked into their hydor fan. Maybe some kind of cover or something that might be available on the market

some sort of mesh will work, like the window screen. Just make sure you don't use the metal

Hey what about pantyhose??? I used them on one of my FW tanks after a cichlid had babies so they wouldn't get sucked up in the filter.

Plastic tank divider works great. Just cut to size and put a rubberband around it. Pantyhose works also but I had to clean it all of the time.

You can also use a filter sponge from a Aqua Clear filter. This will have to be cleaned also. Just look at it this way, it's less stuff floating around your tank.

if your bta is not staying put, he's unappy. you might look into the source of his stress, rather than alter the powerhead.
