Hypothetical question... would you use marijuana for medicinal purposes only?

May have to add to my title
Flush Obama so Crimzy can rise to the top

If your state doesn't allow medical MJ I'd think long and hard about it. could be an issue of disbarment for "drug infractions". That would suck.

Don't worry Crimzy, you have been promoted to the top of my list. I just can't tell you the title of it

I would never tell someone to start smoking marijuana, but if you were to explore that option you could certainly dose with moderation.
he could dose the moderators???

Well, I guess it's time to share... I do not smoke marijuana, nor do I want to. I want to take care of myself and want to be a good father to my daughters. I have no interest whatsoever in being intoxicated around my girls... even if they are asleep.
However I do have a chronic medical condition that has not been relieved by conventional medications. It's nothing life threatening but is very uncomfortable for me. This condition was basically non-symptomatic until I quit partaking in marijuana many years ago. Then it got pretty bad. I have spoken with others with this condition and done some research and it appears that marijuana would likely be a good treatment.
I'm a bit uncomfortable sharing this but it's something that's on my mind. I may decide to delete this post...
Anyway, I'm conflicted...
Your Honor,Dudeinstien...Your Dudeness....Can I take a break and go get some Doritos and some Spakley Water I have some serious cotton mouth and the munchies.Besides my client is guilty as hell and i need to take a siesta Your Dudeness.

Absolutely, no question about it. I've seen too many AIDS & cancer patients that have been helped by it to deny the positive effects.

Crimzy for MOD............I am voting Sep out....Way to much heavy handed authority and drunk with power now.
As with many things in your life, besides whether to wear your man purse on the left or right, you have no say

Sep, when I am a mod I am going to delete every post where you use the letter "r". Just for kicks.

Not only would I use it for a medical condition, I think it should be legalized and then taxed like cigarettes so our government has even more money to toss around.

If I was really sick yes. I can not stand being around stoners though, there lack of motivation drives me crazy.
IMO alcohol users, specifically drunks are the people I hate being around the most. And yes, I would.

ok so I have a morality question ...
If it can be prescribed for "Pain" due to a chronic injury. Then if the patient does something that keeps the injury aggravated should they loose the prescription ?

Wouldn't the "chronic" part of the injury keep it aggravated in itself?

No . Something more along the lines of smoking a doobie to eleviate the pain of going to the gym and lifting weights ,or snowboarding all day long and then going and smoking to help with muscle fatigue ?

Ahhh, yes I'm sure there would be much of this "chronic" pain.

There's also marijuana butter, tea, brownies ( as mentioned ), cookies.
I have not smoked in 16 years but I fully support legalization. I would use it if I was sick and it would help with either side effects of the treatment or pain from the disease itself. I'd probably end up watching A Team reruns too.

I would be interested to know if anyone here who has used it for pain had to smoke enough to become loaded for it to work.
I am seriously considering trying it instead if the MS Contin I take now but I am really not into getting high.
