Hypothetical question... would you use marijuana for medicinal purposes only?

Good topic. I can't honestly answer. Part of me would say a definitive no because of my past drug addictions. On the other hand if I had "chronic" pain (no pun intended
) and burning the hootch provided relief I may partake again.

Well, I guess it's time to share... I do not smoke marijuana, nor do I want to. I want to take care of myself and want to be a good father to my daughters. I have no interest whatsoever in being intoxicated around my girls... even if they are asleep.
However I do have a chronic medical condition that has not been relieved by conventional medications. It's nothing life threatening but is very uncomfortable for me. This condition was basically non-symptomatic until I quit partaking in marijuana many years ago. Then it got pretty bad. I have spoken with others with this condition and done some research and it appears that marijuana would likely be a good treatment.
I'm a bit uncomfortable sharing this but it's something that's on my mind. I may decide to delete this post...
Anyway, I'm conflicted...

I have used it for medicinal purposes. I needed it to deal with all the retards in this world
.LOL. I think it should be legalized and taxed, and tabacco should be made illegal, it is more dangerous, unhealthy, and much more addictive than marijuana.

I say you do what you have to do. The only thing would be drug testing. I don't know what your firm does regarding that.
A few summers ago, my husband had to help a friend who was dying from skin cancer. The pain was unbelieable. He was single and his family refused to help with his request. My husband was enlightened at how this helped him. (even though he was heavily medicated the pain was still huge) My hubby couldn't be around Matt too much when he was partaking as his company does random drug testing (hair) and he wasn't sure how much being around it effected the testing.
I would love to know the studies on this, and how and what marijuana does to the body as far as pain management and anti imflamatory effects. You know big drug companies will always be at the front of the line fighting this tooth and nail.

I would never tell someone to start smoking marijuana, but if you were to explore that option you could certainly dose with moderation.

Really no problem there... I'm #2 at my firm. If there was any drug testing, I'd be administering it, not taking it. Besides, if I ever told my boss that I was partaking, he would probably want to join me.

I'm still waiting for reparations from the Indians for introducing Tobacco to us....

yeah i would. my wife has lupus. her doctor tells her all the time if you lived in a state with medical weed would be the best. o well not in wisonsin yet better just self medicate. imo it is better than getting hooked on narcatic herion based pain killers like oxy or morphine.
