When i set up my new 37 gallon. I wet to the store to get a bucket for mixing the salt and my lovely wife added all 40lbs of cc to my tank without washing it out.. So its still milky 2 days later i think i am going to have to do a water change if it dont clear up.. It was getting really clear and i decided to clean the glas with a scraper and now its all milky... So what can i do..

How much flow do you have running? All the sediments will just settle on the bottom and on your live rock and any type of new movement in the tank will stir it up..what type of filtration are you using?

I did not say pull all the water out.....I said do a water change....that would mean a "partial" change.....
I don;t know if it will all clear out or not.....

do partial water change...your going to have to clean clean clean your insert cartridge...probably every hour for awhile until most of your tank is cleared up, depending on how much sediments are in your tank..

Believe it or not you can put a filter sock over your powerhead and stuff it with filter floss. The powerhead with force the water through the filter floss and sock and it will catch the particles. Simply change out the floss every few hours until its clean. I would advise you to stir it all up again to make sure that when you add other things into the tank anything thats settled doesnt cloud up again.

glad my wife has no interest in my tanks.the only time i hear anything from her is if something dies.she says that poor fish.dont get any more .oh but she wants me to keep getting farm animals.
you can also get a big fish net and line it with filter matereal and swipe it through the tank for a while to help clear it.maybe a good job for the wife?

It may take a little while, but it will eventually settle and/or filter out. I had a similar situation happen through a communication error while moving and we went through the phase with the milky haze on the glass just like you said but it quickly was rectified with some small wate changes and time. I want to say it looked 100 percent within two days give or take.
I did test throughout this period and saw no negative impact on the water quality aside from the clarity. If I were you, I would test, just for curiosities sake, I would be interested in seeing if you had the same result!
