Ok I just got my tank in today. This thing is AWSOME the quality is fantastic. This is a 90 Gal corner tank. Made out of Acrylic. I had the back done in black. I had a built in overflow put in. In the overflow their are 2 return lines, 1 feed line for the wet/dry, and 1 dry chase. Boy I cant wait to get it all together.:D :D :D

If you are intrested in it. email me at ryankmiller@comcast.net. I do not want to post any names. I don't want the sharks to bite.:D . I will post pics for you guys with the build up. I can't wait to start. I also had one made for my brother. His was made to fit a nook in his house. I just calculated it to be 130 gals. I will have pics of that one also. His is gong to be FO.

Ryan, you're gonna love it. I just finished setting up my 92 gal corner. I still can't beleive how much room there is in this thing. I have about 150 #s of rock and it looks empty. The corals that had completely filled my 46 bow look sparse in the 92. Best of all I lit the whole tank beautifully with a single 400 watt, 20000k metal halide. The aqua-scaping options are endless due to the depth of the tank. All I can say is enjoy - I had a great time setting up mine.

I would love to see pics of how yours is set up. At the moment I have a 48 in. JBJ pc light at my expence. I was thinking of getting a 400 watt halid and put it in the center. Then I was going to take my JBJ appart and put 2 65w pc bulbs on either side.

Here is the top. The tank is just sitting on the stand. The top is supported by the walls and my upstairs floor joice. I left a 3/8 in gap from the top to the top of the stand. I didn't want any weight resting on the tank. The gaps will be covered by some trim. I'll keep you posted.

The stand the tank sits on is supported across the bottom of the tank. It has braces going across it just like a wall would. The tank sits on the stand evenly. I hope to get to the drywall tomorrow a little. I am also having doors made for the top and bottom for access. I was looking at cabinet doors from Home Depot. But then I would have to make them fit my opening. So I figured I would make my opening what ever I liked and would have a local cabinet company make me some paintable doors.
This is going to be a reef tank. I have 1 JBJ PC with 4 65w bulbs in it at the moment. I am going to dicect it and make it fit in my tank. Then I will look into 1 MH I was thinking of around 400w. Any ideas on the MH? I know very little about them. The PC's are your normal blue and 10k.
I need about 100 more LBS of LR. I am looking at Tonga, and also Figi.
I also have a good base of CC from my other tank. I was looking into DSB's. Then I started to see a lot of people getting out of them. I had my CC for a year and had no problems. I am still not sure on what one to use.

Looks like I will have to move my speaker.:( . I don't think the fish want to listen to everything I watch on tv.:D

I left enough room for 3/8's in. of play. Do you think a 3/8's in piece of plywood would do the trick? If not I will brace the bottom of the tank really well. The bottom is made of 3/8 in. acrylic.

One thing i noticed is you have a great setup BUT i would add a 4x4 post on the back side of the tank to hold it up. Where the back makes a 90 degree angle. You have the right idea by placing braces on the wall and bolting them in but you WILL need that extra support in the back. Otherwise all the weight will be on the back of the tank where it is weakest and will fall through. Keep in mind you got at least half a ton of weight :) But i'm sure you already know that :) Good luck keeping the glass scratchless. Very nice idea though.

Thanks, for the replys.
I am going to put 2x4's across the back bottom half of the stand. At the moment what you saw was the 2x4 srewed into the existing 2x4's. Their are a few more things I will be doing to it before I get the drywall up. The reason the 2x4's don't meet up in the back corner is because of my overflow. I have a dry chase for power cords to bo through, 1 drain, and 2 returns. It fills up the back corner with plumbing. The 2x4's were going to be in the way. I figured the tank to weigh in a 1k lbs. I will get some plywood tomorrow and put that across the base and also finish framing the back wall.

That weight sounds about right but i think you are going to be under that by 50-100lbs. I forgot to take into account the displacement of water from the rock you'll be adding. I guess plan on highest case scenerio :)
I'll say it again be careful not to scratch the glass :) May want to place a protective seran wrap on the front till you are done with everything, stuff happens.....

Just had a chance to to do a little more work. I really framed up the top of the bottom stand. I also added my plywood for extra strength. The 2x4's running along the wall now have 3/8 x 3in lag bolts holding them up now. I added green board drywall, and it is now really taking shape. I need to do a little mudding and work with the seams a little.:D Just thought I would share.
good day.
