I believe people that own cats are strange.

For one reason and one reason only. People that own cats will allow and maintain a box full of feces in their own house. Now think about this. If someone wanted to give you a box of sand with feces to display in a room in your home you would look at them like they are on crack. But since you own a cat, you proudly own one of these boxes of feces.
Incidentally my wife owns a cat.

haha i have two cats. their litter box is in our garage and theres a little cat door in the basement door so they can get to it. definately not proudly displayed... and in the summer we dont even need to have one because they just go outside. theyre indoor/outdoor depending on the weather.

I have a 90g tank full of fish poooooo
Actually I have 3 parrots, a salt water tank, making a frag tank... all cuz I'm allergic to cats.. and I'm not a dog person. But I wouldn't trade my little buddy (Holly my blue front amazon) for any cat --- or most people ;)

Good solution here! Yeah, I have had cats before and I hate the litter box thing in the house. But, picking up after my dog isn't a whole lot more fun! When I had (2) dogs and (3) cats (my vet at the time gave me a 10%discount on all services because I had 4 or more pets that he took care of), they all got along great-one of my dogs raised my orphan 5 week old kitten, who had been abandoned by his mom, and the two of them were inseperable for over 10 years until the kitty died. Both dogs were heartbroken (as was I)and searched for their little buddy for days after he died.
Now, I have sworn off cats (still like 'em though!) and as a committed dog person-see my avatar-will never get another cat.
My opinion-cat people are not strange, they have just gone over to the Dark Side of companion animals!
Dogs Rule!
Cats, ahhh....not so much.

but dogs are loud, they jump all over you , they are always sniffing and licking people, getting busy on peoples legs, lifting their legs and peeing on stuff, and they smell bad.
for the most part cats are quiet clean and stay out of your way, unless you call them

This is sure an interesting topic for all of us who are maintaining a big glass display that our fish urinate and defecate in.

We just got done with a cat unit at school. We studied a variety of different species of cats. (A LOT less than when we had the dog unit). My favorite was the Korat. Ever heard of these? They are awesome. What are your favorite breeds?
