I got green algae. Is this good?

I have had my tank up and running since Dec. 09. I usually have brown diatoms. I noticed today that I have some green hair algae growing? Is this good or normal? I mean does this mean my tank is getting close to being done cycling.

No, hair algae is not good.
I would think that since Dec 9th you are done cycling it is may 5th. Do you have any fish in the tank?…hair algae is caused by overfeeding, bad water or phosphates or all of the above at once. I gets out of control quickly.
I don’t know what size tank you have..I have a 90g reef and a lawnmower blenny, a Kole tang and a dwarf angle..algae has no chance with a good algae eater in the tank.

okay, I have a 125 gallon. I have 2 clownfish, yellow tang, blue hippo tang, 4 blue green chromis's, 6-line wrasse, firefish, basslet, sunrise dottyback, 8 snails, 4 crabs, and a starfish in a pear tree.
I am feeding them, algae for the tangs, mysis shrimp, emerald delight, squid.
Also, the small amount of green algae is inside my protein skimmer next to the exit hole. I have no green algae in my tank.
