I hate those big box pet store sales people

You all know which one I am taking about, the one we love to hate. So I go in their store to buy some dog food. I pass by the four small tanks they have set up for corals. I see the coral you see pictured in this thread. They had not posted any prices as of yet. I asked a person at the checkout if they can send an aquatic salesperson over to answer a question. When the person arrives I ask what kind of coral is that and the price. Without any hesitation she tells me “oh that’s a polyp and it $39.95 but if you have a PALS. Card (which I do) its $10.00 off. Well I decide what the heck BUT when I get home and check on line I find out it’s not a polyp at all but a leather coral. How dare she sell me something for $29.95 that’s not a polyp? Oh well I guess I just got beat.

Sorry to barge into this thread, but;
I find it kind of sad. I worked at a “Petsm…” when I was going through college. After a very short while as a cashier I was moved to the aquatics department. I didn’t know that much about the fish that we carried, so I made it my initiative to learn about each fish, and their compatibility and what not. With that initiative I then started teaching my manager(s) and fellow associates.
We then made it the imitative to have full knowledge of what we sold.
It’s too bad that more of the box stores can’t be like that one.
Oh and Nice Coral anyway!

Hahahaha, nice work joe. Did you have the aquascum 2000 scan it for ich?
