i have a 90 gallon tank it made two years in october i have been having it and i am starting to get this black alge all over in my tank and my anemones are starting to die off slowly. the only thing in my tank that seems to be doing great is my kenya trees but is it too much? i changed my lights in december and i my levels in my tank are
water temp 74.4
ph 8.0
nitrite 0
nitrate 10
amonia is between 0.0-0.2
is there something i can do to get rid of this?

It looks like cyano...how many power heads do you have running? 74 is way too cold for a reef tank. 78 to 80 is best.

Your cabbage leather??? Leathers shed...do you have a moderate amount of flow on it
OK....So you are saying the "algae" is stuck to rock....Can you scrape it?
I'm not sure what it is
and as far as the kenya's....too many is up to you....if you have a lfs you can see if they will take some for some credit

What kind of filtration do you have? How much/often do you do water changes? What is your water source? Feeding: how much/how often??
And as Meowzer asked, can you blow it off/remove with turkey baster or is it hard??

You know if your protein skimmer is working if it is collecting waste. If you find you are having to clean the collection cup then it is working. Some blennies eat cyno but you better make sure that is what it is. Is it crusting to the rock or is it a hair like alge. If it is hair like then it is probably the cyno that everyone is talking about.
