Thanks to everyone on this forum that helped me with this long process.
Now I have two very happy clowns schooling around with two chromis - soo cute.
I had no idea they would be all over the place together.
Two quick questions I have:
1) I bought mysis shrimp cubes and have all this contradictory info on when to feed them.
I also have flakes I give them every day. Should I give shrimp every other day, every 3-4 days, every weekend? I gave them 1/2 cube.
2) Now all my pure white corals have brown spots all over them - is this something that will stay forever or the clean up crew will clean up most of it? Just want to know what to expect - I don't care for color, just want to make sure it's correct.

Are all your "pure white coral" actually dead pieces? If so you will be fighting algae growth on the forever. They will need to be removed periodically for cleaning to maintain the "pure white" color.

1. feed the mysis daily....skip the flakes...if anything use them as a small weekly snack..For 4 little fish 1/2 a cube should be ok....
2. As Spanko said.....the coral will begin turning all sorts of colors....and you will have to clean them if you want to keep them white

I chose a couple pieces of coral skeleton in my original batch of LR, thinking the contrast in texture would be visually appealing. Well, it is...for a while...coral skeletons are detritus magnets. There is no good way to clean them in the tank. And as spanko said, HA will be in them even if HA exists no where else in the tank.
I will soon be removing and exchanging them for regular LR.

No big deal about the color.
When can I get a clean up crew? Added my clowns last Friday and all seems normal.
Someone said I could buy it together with clowns, another said I should wait for 3 weeks.....

I had a beutiful white persian for 7 years but my allergies got so bad that i couldn't breathe anymore.
That's why I got into fish :-(
But I do love my clowns........although haven't tried to pet them :)

Btw, is it ok that I am getting brown spots all over the corals, rocks, etc? It looks "dirty" but I assume it looks more real this way as something growing on it?
Getting CUC today (thanks for a new word :).
Also, gonna do 2.5 gal water change (for my 16 gal) tank.
Will change two filter cartriges for my 30gal Biowheel marineland filter.
Anything else I need to do while it's cycling?

Your cuc should help with the brown.....yes it's normal, BUT you need something to eat it
also...if you have 2 filters in your biowheel filter...just change one
On my 29G I have a similar type filter, but no bio-wheel....I change a different filter with each water change...rarely do I change both at the same time
