I need a bright Blue or Bright yellow fish

Hello i'm looking for a new fish i want one that's Bright Blue or Bright yellow.
In my tank i have
a 55 gallon tank with 70lbs of live rock.
I have
20 blue legs
20 snails
3 pep shrimp
1 fire shrimp
1 gramma
1 flame angel
1 scooter blenny
2 perc Clowns
Any suggestions on what i could get that is BRIGHT blue or yellow that will get along with everyone as well as fit into this tank.

as far as bright blue goes, any kind of damsel. i know damsels aren't what your looking for but you don't have a big tank. and as for yellow...try lemon peel angel, diadem dottyback,yellow assesor, yellow watchman goby, there are some butterflies but you don't want a butterfly as they are hard to keep alive but if you do i like the racoon butterfly, you could try the bi color angelfish which is like a royal blue and bright yellow, false lemon peel angel, yellow damsel, behn's damsel, banana wrasse, yellow wrasse, midas blenny, yellow clowns goby, and foxface although might not be quit small enough for a 55. these are all fish you could put in a 55 safely without any troubles for the yellow's that is. as for the blues like i said damsels... i know they are ordinary damsels but they are really attractive for blue and can fit in a 55. there really isn't anything else that is as blue as they are and would fit in that size tank.

:) hi i think that ina 55 galon tank u hhave plenty. before my 280 gallon tank which i have now i had a 55 and i found that 6 -8 fish was plenty. but if u want to keep on adding fish (a bright fish) i would recomend a damsel because they r very colorfull.( depnds which species).

:blue devil.
if u dont want samsels u could go for a royal gramma or a fire fish.
a yellow or blue tang or blue would be nice but ur tank has not got enough room. :thinking:

Please lord god don't put a damsel in your tank. Just reading your post gave me flashbacks of the battle i had trying to get mine out. :)

I'd say Atlantic Pygmy Angel, they are like "Sonic Blue". I gut one and its wickid. But I noticed you already have a Flame Angel.

Great ideas everyone. I don't want to get a Damsel even though there are some beautiful ones out there. I was looking around and i like the banana wrasse. Does anyone know if it's reef safe?

Blue Spotted Jawfish. I've been trying to get a pair of those for years to breed but they're out of my price range.

The Banana Wrasse is also known as the Yellow-brown Wrasse, Sunset Wrasse, or Yellow Wrasse. As an adult, it takes on a yellow appearance if female, and a blue appearance if male. Both sexes have facial markings in green and fine vertical striping along the body. The fins are very colorfully marked.They are active fish and require plenty of rocks for hiding and a tight-fitting lid. It will become territorial and harass any new additions to the community, therefore, it should be added last to the tank.It may eat mantis shrimp and bristleworms. It does not eat corals or live plants.Its natural diet consists of fish, crustaceans, motile invertebrates, and worms. The diet in an aquarium, should include a variety of feeder shrimp, marine flesh, frozen meaty preparations for carnivores, and flaked foods.It should reside in a 50 gallon or larger aquarium

So if i was to add a Banana wrasse it would be fine. But now i want this Blue spotted jawfish. I found one so far at 60 dollars. but they are out of stock on the page i found it. I'm gonna look for more information about it.
Thanks for the info on the Wrasse i appreciate it. I still may add him.

How much are these little guys and where could I find one. Money isn't an issue fo such a sexy fish..... :notsure:

You need a small school of these fish according to Michaels Handbook. That would rule out getting one.
Damsels are pretty active. He might want a slower, less metabolically active fish.
Jawfish need several inches of sand I believe. Also don't they get pretty big?

The blue spotted jawfish is a wonderful fish but you must have a deep sand bed for him to burrow in. (I'd say 3" min.) They are fascinating to watch as they go in and out of their homes they make in the sand under peices of rock. They even gather shells and stones and line their holes with them like decorations. They are jumpers however and your tank should be covered so they can't go carpet diving. I've heard the blue spot may be a little more difficult to keep than other similar species but I never had any problem with mine in a 125 gal. He would accept flake food and brine shrimp.

i have a red spotted jaw fish and hes a really cool fish made a burrow under one of the small pieces of LR on the front of the sand bed.... very cool fish but they hide most of the time only coming out to feed .... otherwise all u see is there head sticking out of the sand.... kinda sucks but still a cool fish.....
i also like the lemon peel angels those are very pretty fish...

I've had this electric blue devel damsel for 3 years in my reef. He's only 2" and does well with the tankmates. Usually I wouldn't suggest a damsel but with your tank size and stocking that's about all you can handle. This fish is a very powerful blue.

I'm still scared ff a damsel being a bully in my tank. I just haven't heard many story's about how friendly damsels are. I think i might just wait till i see 1 more fish some day that i have to have...or wait for a mandarin.
