I need crab ideas

I had an emerald crab in my tank since October and he moalted 3 times trippeling in size. He was in my 24 gal AP. He became very agressive to my clown and other snails. I took him out and put him in hubbys tank.
SHould I get another (smaller) emerald crab or should I try another kind of crab?

I have always had good luck with small emeralds.... I have heard that some get aggressive I have not had that problem

I love the emeralds too, He just got huge and I had one clown fatality and didn't want him getting my other clown. Would a Sally Lightfoot be better for my tank and less agressive?

I like the red reef hermits or the drawf blue legs....both do a great job as cuc and won't harm fish.

You will have a higher chance of the sally lightfoot going after small fish than another emerald. Unlike the emerald, the sallys are fast and they seem to get larger quicker.

I didn't reealize Sallys would get larger faster. Guess I will just throw in some more hermits and call it a day. Thanks all

You could go with a porcylin crab.
They are very pretty and just a filter feeder.... they like to hide though.

Yeah, but he didn't buy those...well technically he didn't. That's why...when purchasing what he purchased...you need to make sure the person you purchase it from is clean and won't give you crabs or other nasty plagues.

My emeralds have been fine. My larger one kind of tries to get my clown, but its too fast. There's no real aggresion from the Emeralds, they're as calm as can be.

You got me worried, I have two sally lightfoot crabs and lots and lots of hermits.
What cleans like a crab??? the snails don't clean anything but algea on the glass, I hardly see them doing anything to rock. Too slow the algea beats them to the grow.
