AND not that I know of about the clam....It has been in the same spot since I got it....a few days ago it looked fine. Let's just say it is dead....the "critters" were all over it last night
I left it in there because it has some green striped mushrooms growing on it....

dkh is fine where its at. salifert dkh measure ~2 lower than other test kits like API. this is because the salifert is measured for saltwater purposes and api is actually measuring for freshwater applications. but 8-9 is a good number for SPS.
if u can take it out, you might be able to see if it was detached from its base or something.

Well I tried to move it yesterday, and it seemed to still be attached....I will check it out tonight....
maybe I can sell some green striped shrooms on half a clam shell

GUESS WHAT? I am getting some free Dirty Mary Cherry zoas...LOL....The guy did not get my stuff out the day he was supposed to, so he told me he threw them in there to make it up to me

WELL...when I got home the shell was slightly moved and is now almost empty.....I guess the cuc and others have been snacking all day
I am thinking about taking it out, and possibly selling the half of the shell with the shrooms.....why not....I need to re-coup some money....LOL....seems like I sell $50 worth and spend $500 though

WELL...I took the clam shell out this morning....it is now completely empty. On it are 3 green striped metallic shrooms....so I moved them on the whole shell to another tank.....I will probably add them to my "frag" collection since I have some of them in a couple of tanks already

Sorry to hear the news Meowzer. I had something similar to that happen to my tank. My crabs died within a week of each other. Nothing else died though and all corals, snails, shrimp and fish were still thriving. I suppose some things just happen just because. However, I'll be more than willing to take some of those frags off your hands!

Sorry about your clam...I have never made a nickle on anything in my tank so it isn't all bad.
