Do you like yellow? The yellow coris wrasse is beautiful
LOL....I LOVE yellow, which is why I replaced the Lemonpeel so quickly, I figured anything else yellow will become angelfish bully material......it was a yellow warsse that did the disappearing act. I released it into the tank..it swam around found a spot in the sand and disappeared never to be seen again.
I wanted a larger wrasse, a non-burrowing wrasse....I want a bright colored fish...reds or blues. I have yellow (Lemonpeel), purple (Orchid Dottyback) and orange (2 perc clowns)...The LMB is the grey color of the rocks.
The blue chromis are a good color but so small, my tank looks so empty.

FLower the yellow coris gets big, and it is in my 225G...nothing has bullied it......it is out all day..just nowhere to be seen when "sleeping"...I tried to take a pic but it won't stay still..LOL
here is the best I can do...I really wanted you to see the neat colorings on the head and fins though

The yellow corris is nice. So is the Yellow Candy Hogfish, which this site has labeled as: https://www.saltwaterfish.com/Twin-Spot-Hogfish_p_1790.html
You could even do both! Haha
Did you hear anything back on whether they can get you the flasher/fairy wrasse?

Mary says they have a female purple wrasse...I wanted the male...which I forgot to mention in my note to SWF.
On an up note...I did a water change and swapped out the carbon on the SH tank and my corals are looking much better. The leather which looked the worst is lifting up and filling out from being all drawn up. The GSPs are still struggling but are opening more each day. The GSP in the 90g are not out at all.
I have hair algae in the SH tank (driving me crazy) however the green bubble algae looks awesome on the back wall, and I have more of the red macros than the HA....so the macros are taking up space the HA once occupied, so they are winning out. YAY!!! I have a mini spray bar pointed right at the leather finger to help it shed off all the slime it developed. Do you see the horses wrapped around the feather duster in the front?

2 clowns, royal dottyback, lmb, lemon peel, & hippo tang.
I had to back track and see my original question and why it was asked. You said your wrasse always hid and was dull and boring. A Blue tang will cause a shy fish to hide because they are so active. My hippo didn't bully the other fish he just worried them when he sawm near. I never saw my orchid dottyback, or my LMB out in full while I had my Hippo. Since he died both are out all the time....Books say they like the rocks, so I assumed that's why I seldom saw them out except at feeding time.....all LMBs hang out in the rocks, but that purple fish was like a ninja.
Now I see the purple fish out all day long and the LMB actually swims besides hanging out in the rocks. I won't be replacing the tang, I loved his color and he is very much missed. I have a yellow fish so I would like a nice blue color like the Hippos, or a nice bright red fish. That's why the larger wrasses (MALE multicolor and Velvet red) looked good to me. The females are duller in color, so I would want a male.
The Blue reef Chromis have that nice blue color but again they are little fish and my 90g is loaded with little fish. I would like at least one bigger fish that is flashy, which is what I had in the tank when I had the Hippo tang.
As for coral ....My tank parameters are pristine, but MHs and actinic are only on one side, the other has actinic, and whatever light from the other side bathes that direction. I was thinking non-photosynthetic for that side. Because it has the Aquaripure filter on that tank, I feel I can manage to keep them with enough food and not worry about algae.
I am not at all familiar with what are non-photosynthetic coral needs...I would like to NOT spot feed...LOL..unless the coral is so pretty I think it's worth the work.
