i am planning on getting a porcupine puffer but that is all i am geting should i get 1 or 2 and what size tank should i get and what all should i feed it
I think the minimum tank size one pork is a 120 gallon , but i dont know anything about keeping 2. But if you get one, make sure you feed it hard shelled food like shrimp, clams, and mussels because that helps to file down there teeth.
Dont get 2, they'll fight. Puffers are solitary hunter type fish, with just a few exceptions like GSP's are schoolers. You'll need a 125 to keep 1 long term, but you can put other fish with them in that.
yeah you can put a gsp with any puffer and they will stay chill with each other
porc. can sometimes be mixed with others depending on the temper of the fish lol

I wasn't saying a Porc can't go with other Puffers, they can go with any other Puffer not of similar shape. You can't put 2 Porcs together tho. Just as you can't put 2 S+S Puffers together and you'd have to be a moron to put 2 Dogface together. GSP's though you can have 2,3,4,whatever GSP's and theyll be fine.

I don't know about Tiger Fish. Porc Pufffers are very hardy and good for a beginner. GSP=Green Spotted Puffer

tell me why?just cause you "here you cant" hum just like the undys ..i have 2 tanks so if 1 gets picked on he can go into other tank.the little one is faster.
Because most likely they will fight and you're knowingly putting them into a bad situation. Waiting until '1 gets picked on' is stupid when you know that its likely to happen and especially when '1 gets picked on' can easily be '1 gets killed or died from stress'. I say this for other people reading these forums as I know that you not only don't give 2 sh*ts about your fish but also lie about your fish's health and losses and I don't believe a single thing you say.

i wasnt questioning yout or saying against what you said. i understood that i was just sayin. sorry about that
i have seen a tank at the aquarium of the pacific with like 20 huuuuuge porcs that were just amazing though lol
Yes it is common. If healthy, your Porc could have Ich and you'd never know because hed be strong enough to fight it off. You often will never notice Ich on your fish unless theres something else weakening them. It requires a 6 week quarantine and copper treatment to get rid of. I don't know if I'd consider it easy. It isn't hard, but the added stress can harm the fish. Its usually recommended to treat all new fish for ich in a QT before moving them into your main tank, thereby preventing the chance of introducing ich into your tank.

No offense intended, but it sounds like you should do alot more research before attempting any fish, this board is a great place to start, and there is several books that are must read. The more you know going in the more successful you will be, mistakes in this hobby happen quickly, take a long time to fix, and cost a huge amount of $.
Good luck
