ok i want to take a dive in to sps and i need to know what is a easy one... i tryed a birdsnest and it died well to come to find out my potters angel like my new corals.. so i got him out an di want to try some more now..
stuff about my tank
125g
hang on back filters
2 #4 k power head and 2 #3's on the back side
i run a uv and a skimmer
i have nots of soft corals..

well crap i forgot the lighting i have a 3 250w 20k lights on the tank and every thing is in check as far as the water goes..

I agree with Bob. Try a monti cap. Or a digitata. Remember to light aclimate. Can u post yr water param.

ya i dont have that one wrote down so i will have to wait till the first of next week to get it i do weekly checks.. and thinks... i got in to clams and now i want to try sps to give my tank some color..

ok i have found some that i want to look into and they are
Blue polyping encrusting yellow montipora
ora german blue polyp montipora digitata
and orange montipora digitata
how are those??

the thing about it is that i can not get them down to 0.. i have tryed and nothing.. idk what else to do.. i have done water changes over and over and nothing.. and i got my calcium and it at 600..

I would re-test your calcium.....what kind of salt are you using....
I had cal reading high...changed test kits, and I finally got a more accurate reading

ok. well it might just be my test kit.. i am useing red sea coral salt...

o my clam has got huge from when i got it always open and looking nice. well i am going to the big store in nashville to see what i can find on the 4th..

I am partial to Monti Caps, but that is just me.
Spend what you are willing to lose in case it doesn't work out.
IMHO your parameters are within reason.

idk what todo i have found some really nice clams i would like to have and i know they do good in my tank but i dont know if sps will die or live so i will be safe spending my money on clams. but i really want to try sps.

If you are really wanting sps....then get sps....just get one for now, and see how it does...your lighting seems good, and so does your water...and as stated above if you are able to keep a clam, you should (I say should) be able to keep sps

Try a birds nest. They can stand some punishment. If u lived near me I would give a birdsnest frag for free.

If that's PPM, then we need to talk, cause that is way high!
