The way I understand it, the more air the better. Now this is too a point. Too much air and the skimmer will essentually be dry. If it runs more quietly and the increase of air bubbles isn't causing it to over flow, then I would run it that way for now. I would keep an eye on it. There are things that will cause a skimmer to go nuts and over flow the collection cup. I would think the more air in the unit the more prone it would be to reacting to a tank addition. If I am thinking correctly, your tank is new. So you wont be adding anything for some time. As I said I am not familiar with the skimmer you have, so I can't really say what the best way is to run it.
Ya my tank is brand new like only 2 weeks, but I already have a clean up crew. That's all I plan on adding for some time. I couldn't believe how fast it cycled! I think I'm going to take your advise and leave it like it is. I need to read about wet and dry skimming.

No in my opinion the purpose of this category is to help new hobbyists tweek fundamental information they should have already acquired to meet their individual circumstances. Just out of curiosity I wonder how may new hobbyists have taken the time to read * 101 Tips to Beginning and Maintaining a Saltwater Aquarium, * *Very long and good advise, * A List of Extremely Helpful Threads for All Hobbyists members have worked long and hard preparing this information but to me at least to many people what to be spoon feed information
I am not talking about you in particular but for someone to get annoyed to the point of starting a survey or stating this is not about saltwater because the very people that are trying to help you are also trying to have some fun with each other seems a little selfish to me
Does this mean answer my question but answer it on my terms
Well, I don't know about you. But when I read a thread that has a lot of useless info in it somtimes its hard to keep things on track and to ultimatly help solve a problem. And you are talking about me! The survey obvously shows that there are others that are tired of schanagins in their posts. Like I said before, humor is cool when both parties understand. This may sound crude but, you didn't post one piece of useful information in my thread before trying to be humourous. I don't know you, and without and dilect I really didn't care for it. My point is that this is supposed to be a learning enviroment for people to come and post questions. Here is the kicker, you don't have to help!!!! If your tired of anwering redudant questions, then why don't you stop, or rather even pay attention to us newbies? You come off like there is only one way to do things and it is all found in the sticky threads. No. I read ALL of those, so thanks! Plus I'm tired of arguing to you about how a fourm should be operated. I'll just go somewhere else.
