Pretty tank.....the shop I buy from won't even order purple tangs anymore due to lack of survival

I think this list would work in theory, but if it were me I'd rethink the longnose butterfly. I have never seen one grow large and stay healthy. I think that competing with the porc, wrasse, tusk and tang would be difficult because they are all pretty aggressive eaters. I'd swap this one out for a majestic angel. With those seven, you'd be pretty well stocked (maybe overstocked but it's borderline) so I'd make sure your filtration and water changes are top notch.

As long as you know you will need to upgrade to a larger tank in the next year or so. Then you are good to go.

I would respectfully
disagree with Brenden, I think as long as you are meticulous about water, and prepared to get rid of any trouble makers, you will be fine with that size tank for the life of those fish.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 wrasses wont get along especially a dragon wrasse and a harlequin tusk
they will fight to the death and the dragon wrasse has my bet of being victorius

harlequin tusks, while a wrasse, are not as aggressive as the others. I had to take back a rectangular trigger months ago b/c my tusk was getting picked on too much.

I don't know what other people think about the longnose, but I just have never seen one that could hold its own in that type of tank. I think the tusk and wrasse would be ok if they are of similar size. You may want to add them together or add the tusk first.

I love Harlequin tuskfish and have never had one that bothered any other fish; They should always be drip acclimated and kept in a dark tank for a day or so--then they soon become a showpiece. They can be intimidated by much smaller, but aggressive fish. I also have a great longnose butterfly with mine and kept the same combo when Katrina took the tank. Both fish were together for at least 6 years. Good luck, you have some great fish in mind.
