Not sure what point you're trying to make (as usual, except to incite some controversial rhetoric yet again).
I'll take your removal of ID to purchase anything, and give you -
"Let's abolish the ability of religious groups to push their agendas on anyone who doesn't believe in their ideologies."
Oh wait, there's that "right vs. privilege" thing.
If you want to debate that go ahead. start your own discussion.
So we continue playing your little game - the reason for requiring ID's to purchase those items, along with other items like cigarettes, is because multiple studies have shown that certain age groups in our society are unable to control themselves, or have the maturity levels when it comes to the consumption or usage of these products. The tolerance levels of alcohol consumption for a 10 year old are quite different from someone whose 19 or 20. They also don't have the experience or maturity to know when it's time to stop, or the medical affects of drinking excessive alcohol at a young age. Gun purchases? What the heck. Just make them standard issue when someone turns 10. Have an argument with a playmate on the playground? Just put a bullet in their head. That'll resolve the conflict. Everyone packs like the Old West. We can designate areas in each city for shootouts when it comes to conflict resolution. Get into a road rage incident? Drive over to the OK Corral in your neighborhood, walk 10 paces each direction, and let the fastest draw continue down the road. Want that new Mercedes on the car lot? Grab your AK and give it your best shot to drive off before the car salesman can pull out his AR.
So you are saying those things protect the population and minimize crime to a degree?
