i agree, looks like a broom.
last thursday CT had an ice storm roll in. usually my house is on the belt that gets the horrid weather because i'm up in the hills right before the valley. luckily i only got about 5" of rain, but a mile west of me got hammered with ice. the storm went north of me and destroyed a town called gardener mass, they had to use bucket loaders to get the trees out of the street.

yeah we were lucky we only got alittle freezing rain north and east of here they got alot of freezing rain and sleet. all in total we had 2 inches of sleet fall and west of here had 3inches. east of here got 3.5-4 inches of sleet and 1.5-2 inches of freezing rain.
I wasnt supposed to work today but to many people called in so I had to go to work and it wasnt a fun drive LOL but made it there and back fine. others were not so lucky. we didnt get over 28 degrees so nothing really thawed out and is already starting to refreeze again what little did melt. On top of that its gotten REAL foggy so we are going to be getting freezing fog which is HORRIBLE it is almost as bad as freezing rain it coats EVERYTHING in a thin layer of ice cars, roads, signs, trees, and powerlines. It can build up enough to cause travel problems IF the roads werent already frozen that is LOL
I hope that everyone else managed through the storm and all is well.

Thanks for dooming us. I had to wade through the fender-benders on the way home...
Mike, I didn't realize the storm hit that far South. I know upstate NY got some, but not nearly as bad as 1998.

the storm we had here back about 98 and 2001 was much worse people were without power for weeks and weeks because of snapped poles and lines. this wasnt nearly as bad!! we are in the right area to get ice storms we dont get much snow here and most of the time its in mid jan. and feb. this year its started early and packed a wallop so its going to be a bad winter around here is my feeling anyway LOL

Ahhhhhh.....now I see it

That stinks that you had to drive in that today Mike. I am glad that you got home safely. We are in for another storm tonight. Sleet, freezing rain, and snow are expected. They are saying 3-6 inches. On the positive side, that will mean that I get tomorrow off
