it really looks like a limpet. you can almost make out a small shell thru the skin in your picture just by the contrast in color

that's what everyone is saying, i just don't see any other pic anywhere showing the mantle outside and covering the shell. i do have some limpets with the normal shell so i wouldn't be surprised that these are, its just really wierd. specially now that i have 2 in the tank.

its an orange limpett definitely..I had one for quite awhile..great algae eaters..but mine started munching on my softies..Grew very fast as well

i guess i got rid of the other pic, but i found the guy on my glass and took a fuzzy shot. i could see normal snail-like mouth, and antennae.
