ID Please

Is anyone familiar white small mounds of grey almost "dry cement" looking pieces on their sandbeds. I just yesterday came across a small mound of like i said "dry cement" on the sand bed. Anyone familiar or have any guesses?

My guess would be the waste mound of a worm. If there a small hole at the top of the mound?

I get the same thing now and then... and yes, there is a small hole at the top. Once in awhile I see the sand getting pushed out the top, but could never see exactly what's doing it.
Those suckers can really pile up the sand too!
