is that your coral, or are you just saying you like the look of them?? if you dont already have it DONT BUY IT, most die within a year, there are many other corals that sort of look liek that

No, it's mine now. I took a pic of it a the LFS the other day. I was out last night and picked it up.

RETURN IT, your pro says u have NO experiance, so you are the exact WRONG person to have a flowerpot, i bet even some of the mods couldnt keep flowerpots long term (no offence mods)

Beautiful Gonipora! They are terrible hard to keep, Even my best LFS can't keep them long term!

instead of bashing, i wish u luck.. its not a human u are trying to keep! some people on this forum go to extremes! its basically plant life! where is the need to ORDER him to return it? he asked what kind it is, not what u think he should have in his tank!

Exactly^ but anyways, I thought it was called a green gonipora. I have one, and have had it for right at about a month now don't seem to be a problem.

If it's gonna die no matter who has it then what is the difference if it's in my tank? LOL
I WILL do everything I can to keep it alive, not much more I can do than that.

What kind of lighting do you have. Also what size tank?
I have a 30gl with 175MH 130Actinic PC.

I have a coralife fixture with two 65 watt 10,000K and two 65 watt True Actinic on a 55 gal.
I may upgrade my lights in the near future, they are pricey though.

It's not a plant, it's a reef building animal that probably shouldn't be removed from the wild.
Very few Green Goniopora make it past a year and yet it's one of the most common imported corals. It's a crime to import them IMO since so many are doomed.
