doing a comparison of the eggs and their formations ... Florida Joe .. you snail has not been eating the algea (It's been smokin it)...

Ok, if those are eggs, why don't I ever get any baby snails (cause I've had them too)? I don't keep fish in most of my reef tanks, so they aren't being eaten; are they skimmed out by the protein skimmer in the larval stage or what?

Do you have any Mechanical filtration?
Do you have any Sand Sifters?

okay...how long till the eggs hatch?
One of my snails has been busy all day laying eggs on my tank glass near the top, and I want to know when it's safe to clean the acrylic again (stupid algae growth, lol).
Are they for sure fertile if she's laying them, or are they fertilized after she lays them?
