I found some bugs in my 14g tank.
They are around 1/2 to 1 inch long, have a lot of feet, just come out at night. They cannot swim and they run quickly on the sand base and live rocks. They hide under the live rocks or the small holes in the live rocks.
They are not worms for sure.
Anyone know what's that? Harmful for tank? For my 14g tank, I found at least 10 of them.
Thanks.

When you say lots of legs, do you mean like 6 - 10 legs or more like 12 - 20 legs?
Any Antenna?
Any color to them?
Do they run in circles or straight lines?

At least 10 legs. They are brown I think. they have two Antennas, short. run in straight line, but I believe they can run in circles.

Sound like amphipods to me. Look like this?

The one in picture is kind of scrunched. I don't know it's alive or not. The living ones in my tank is darker than this one. But they look similar....

Is there any bug in saltwater like roach? I think mine look like it. Mine are not transparent..........

Sounds like some type of Isopod. Most are beneficial but there are a few bad ones.
This is one of the bad ones:

How large is this guy? I google it and it seems to be a very big guy.
I think all the pictures showing above are transparent. But I don't think mine are transparent. I will try my best to catch one of it tonight.
If anyone have any idea, please tell me and let me know it's good or bad.
Thanks.

The one in the picture was about 1/2". They are closely related to the Rolley Poley things (Potato bugs?) you find under rocks and logs.
There are also baby Mantis Shrimp.... Let's hope that's not it.

I cannot get one of them. It's hard to catch them!!!
I just took some pictures when all my lights off. I don't have good camera, so the pictures are not clear. Sorry about that, but hope it helps.
For the first picture, in the middle of the picture, between my 'in-tank safe house' and sand base, it's the bug.
For the second one, there is one showing off inthe middle. We can see it has long tentacles.
For the third and fourth pictures, you can see under my 'in-tank safe house', there are many 'brown lines'. They are not there in day time.
Hope some one can help me~~

I am really nervous about it.

Yeah I think the second pic just about nails it to an amphipod. Good stuff, eat detritus and get eaten by our critters. No worries here.

Thanks. Luckily, I catch one just now!! But my camera is not good enough to get a clear picture of it. I find one picture from website which looks similar as what I got. Mine is more dark inside of his body.
I see someone said the amphipods may eat the zoa polyps. Is that true? Is there any other coral they eat? I have a lot of zoas.......
