I wouldnt be as worried about what kind of shroom that is as much as whats growing in the background. Unless its not your tank.

Agree with Rhodactis sp. also with some Aitasia in the background one large on the right and one smaller on the left.

NO..The aptasia is the stringy looking things...almost look like scrawny anemones
Yours are kinda big.....I have read you can inject them with boiling water...or lemon juice....or some stuff called Joe's Juice
Peppermint shrimp eat them too, but IDK if they get too big if they will or not

LOL.....I don't think it actually has to be a needle....you know those plastic syringes they have for flea doses???
I have never done this, but I bet you can use one of them....I'll see if I can find a pic if you aren't sure what I am talking about

LOL...that's what I was thinking....Like I said...I have never done this...but if you can get boiling water in it, and squirt it into the ctr of teh aptasia.....why wouldn't it work...

I walked up to the

[hr]
at Walmart asked if I could buy a small needle and they gave me one for free. They did ask a few questions and I told them what it was for and they handed it over for free. You do need the needle because you want to get the juice in them not around them. If you cant get a needle you can buy aiptasia control by blue vet. Just spray it on them and it will kill them.

i've only used boiling water, and it worked great. I used a baby nose cleaner thing, and got as close as i could to the aiptasia before it would go in, then i squirted it and followed it as it retracts so i can squirt it at the base. Then i suck it up. I've done this with a bunch of them and never had any ill effects on anything else. I felt safer adding hot water, then adding anything else to the tank.

Put the boiling water, or the lemon juice, or the kalkwasser paste, or the Mrs. Wages Pickling lime paste, or the Joe's Juice, or the Aiptasia X into the syringe. Then with the syringe close as possible to the anemone squirt some of whatever to cove the anemone. You want to cover the anemone with it but not spread it too far from the anemone.
