i know this is going to be hard without a pic but i dont have one right now.. i got a rock with frilly shrooms about a month ago and it had some brown things that look like feather dusters on it (i know they are not feather dusters)... they have multiplied like crazy and they are in a straight line... there base is like a little string and the top is really fluffy.. i dont know if any of this make since i will try and get a pic but camera is bad...

looks like brown anemones to me!!! :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: if they are, that's horribly bad, are the tips pointy? if they are they are probably aptasia (sp whatever, lol)

i dont think they are aptasia, they dont look like any i have seen before and they are not getting any bigger, just multiplying...

bad guys and not easy to get rid of. I cant remeber the best way though do a search for them there are some great threads about them.

hydroids are basically the larval stage of jellyfish some never fully develope but sting just like apistia and aptisia are EASY to get rid of compared to these guys. They basically spread the same way but IMO faster than aptisia do.
