cuts me in off, they're eating guardrail. I'm sure it's just a coindence, but I'm 3/4th of my way through a, 1500 miles of 2000 mile, drive-a-palooza. Two trips from Orlando to Fairhope AL, and back for the holidays/parents tank move. Nothing like 300 miles of I-10
. Anyways, you know when passing cars in the left lane stack up because the lead car in the left lane is slowly passing a car in the right lane, or mirrors the car in the right lane for a bit?
Well exactly thrice now, cars have decided to switch lanes to the right lane to try and gain a couple spots on the lane. Which is a jerk move to start with IMO, but then they cut me off when they need to get back in the left lane? I don't think so! I purposely don't leave a gap between me and the car ahead of me, but these idiots will try and make one. It's happens three times these 2 trips, one Accord, one Corolla, one Honda Pilot. All had Texas tags. The Pilot also flashed me, like I was suppose to get out of his way, when there's 3 cars in front of me?!?!
And on top of that, they really don't even go that fast. Just god forbid they get held up for 55 seconds. Sure, they'll try and mirror me and try to cruise at 85mph, but about 3 minutes later, they're way back in the mirror....
I know we have quite the Texas brotherhood here. Anyone have any opinions on this? These morons on the road really aren't leaving a great impression on me. Actually if one tries it again, they might. A big smile, as I see one of them sliding sideways through the ditch....

use P.I.T works great very little damage to your POV

It's probably because you don't have a Texan car. Get a "cowboy up" or "beef it's whats for dinner" or the long horn sticker on your car. You might also hang a pair of...how do I put this appropriately...chrome or other colored male parts from your bumper. Then you will be accepted I think. I am guessing you don't drive a deisel dually with smoke stacks jacked up to the point of needing a ladder. This may also lessen your chances of a good drive in Texas...Oh and the Gun rack.

I'm with you bro....Got tired of that years ago, I keep about 2 feet (literally) between me and the car in front of me. Sometimes it's a little old lady, sometimes a good looking woman, but my response is the same when they turn on the blinker and try to move in...."GET TO THE BACK OF THE LINE". If they give me the bird, I just give them a thumps up back. I have zero tolerance with people like this....

why do you ride on peoples bumpers? 2 ft is not enough space to respond properly if something happened in front of you

Come on now, that is a bit insulting don't you think? I am sure you meant it as a joke but it may not be perceived that way. I have been cut off by people from so many states. Sure we all think, "darn.....ans, ians, orkers, ahoians, whatever ians" (insert how each state's residents are named) at the time but it has nothing to do with anyones state. We are all just annoyed at other drivers just as they are with us. We all think we drive fine, meanwhile someone else is saying comments about how we drive.

Umm, no, just a little silly stereotyping. I realize this is probably not how most of texas is...if any. Not feeling very politically correct tonight I suppose. Tough crowd, just jokes...I have lived in Minesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, Illinois, and Ohio. Feel free to poke fun at any of the above. I have thick skin. I was educated in Mississippi for four years that should give you a good start.

you are driving down I-10 I'll bet you 20 bucks those morons were from houston. Houston drivers are nuts. You need to be driving down i-20 going through FT Worth is much more civilized. But nothing compared to OK drivers. I don't know about up north. Most of those cars you mentioned are the trendy poor yuppys car. Not real texans.
But that is why when you drive get a micky d's paper cup. And dip yourself some Copenhagen, when someone pisses you off toss it out your sunroof onto his windshield.

Actually houston drivers?... or LA transplants? LOL... seems like alot of the trash that sacked downtown after katrina never left houston... I'd say Austin drivers suck worse than Houston drivers lol...

here in fort worth most people drive civilized once you get to rt.360 that splits between fort worth and dallas they drive like animals.
dallas drivers are retarded.i have thrown plenty of gatorade bottles out the window over there.
one time i saw a car driving over 80 mph in the passing lane ,as he went by i looked in his car.he was playing a guitar with both hands and steering with his knee.
i try to avoid dallas plus thier football team sucks.

I do this when it's bumper to bumper traffic and people fly up the outside lane trying to zip in line at the last minute, not when I am at regular speed.

This problem is certainly not limited to Texas. IMO it's one of those "every 10th person is a jerk" phenomenons. I used to think it was just city people that drove like selfish brats. I've come to realize it's 1 out of 10 no matter where you are, there's just more city people around to cause problems once you get near the suburbs.

yeah 360 is that line. What is nuts, is that when you drive in houston if you go 70 you'll get run over, go to fort worth if you go 70 you'll get a ticket. A whole different mindset. Houston is way to big city for me.

Take it from someone that DROVE OTR Trcuks for a living til I got the Big E DQ as in Epilepsy. Here are the worst drivers in order. NYC NEVER TAKE A NEW WHITE TRAILER INTO THERE I had to and the Bottom rail came out Taxi Cab YELLOW Also I ended up getting a Baseball thru the windshield on the BQEo one time because I refused to move over for an Idiot driving a bemmer that was coming up the Ramp. 2nd is Chicago HANDS DOWN that is the only city were if you get into an accident and all you do is scratch the paint you tie up the whole city with rubberneckers. Tied for 3rd we have Houston and LA Metro Areas. Both cities they get rain it is like WE FORGET HOW TO DRIVE and iin Houston becaomes crash central. 5th is San Francisco Bay Area Only place I ever got a ticket because my engine smoked from trying to climb the hills. 6th -10 are Seatlle Portland OR Cleveland for Dead mans curve alone 9th is Philly and rounding out the top 10 is St Louis whenever the Cubs beat the Cardnails and you have an IL plate on your car need I say more.
