I'm a Liberal, and I think the ACLU...

Can go shove it where the sun don't shine. (coincidentally, Ohio)
The more I read about them, the more I am convinced they are just saying things and going after people because it contradicts "conservative ideologies".
The fact is, if large numbers of human lives are at stake on a fairly regular basis, then that should more or less trump any "civil liberties" argument (within reason of course) that comes across.
This whole backscatter thing that they would like to have at the airports is a fine example.
So yeah, they can see your private areas. And by "they", I mean a very small group of people who will see you, and 99.98% of the time, when there is nothing suspicious, you walk right on through, and your image disappears forever.
How exactly does that violate ones civil liberties?
And on the off chance that they do see something, they just potentially saved hundreds of lives, and billions of dollars. It all seems to make perfect sense to me...

I don't care what Darth says about you Clemson, you are OK.

In my opinion the ACLU is like unions, once served a vital purpose but now do more harm than good.

thinking the same thing.....
after reading I went back up to see again who wrote it.
I am with all of it. If this thing keeps someone from setting their crotch on fire, taking hostages, bringing any harm at all to passengers/plane I am for it.
As long as we are still letting these crazies on board (and then figuring out it later..) this can be another tool/security measure. I do still wish we did more with cargo, but that is another day/year. Can't see TSA unionized either

What amazes me is not treating this guy as an enemy combatant. They knew really quick the guy had Al Queda ties but still let him lawyer up. Let the military interrogate him. Hell with prosecuting him. Get all the info you can and send him back to his own country.

Boner? Does that not mean what it used to mean when I was 16?
LOL. I'm bringing it back. You will often see me post random wordage that has nothing to do with what we are talking about, but that I use as a way to say "cool" or "alright!". No one else that I know does this, I'm just slightly nuts I suppose.
