. Looks like i will be going to a technical college.
.
Why would you do that? That is like going to high school with no hot chicks. Technical college doesn't have a cheerleading squad to ogle.

SO!!!!!! I'VE BEEN BUSY!
My old college has bought out the technical school that I was going to go to school at. Because my old college bought it out, their policies changed and instead of just paying the tuition fees to get into the technical college, I owed a lot of money back to my old college before I could even enroll or register at their sister school / tech college. WELL...
I figured, if I had to pay back the fees at my old college to get into my technical college, why don't I just pay my fees and go back to the college that I have already put in almost four years at and get a bachelors degree instead of a technical degree? So, I paid my dues, enrolled back at the university and I am changing my major to biology education and sticking with it this time. I had 1.5 years for an HVAC degree, but I only have 2 years in this major - all biology and teaching classes - and I will be making a little more money right off the bat. ITS NOT ABOUT THE SALARY...
I love teaching. In fact, I was a Social Studies Education major before I dropped out at the university. I was going to be a History teacher. But, since I love Biology so much and have the opportunity to go back to school for something that I *really* enjoy (and is in the A/C), I feel like I needed to take the opportunity to go back to the university and complete my Bachelors.
So... WOOHOO!!! I'm back at the UNIVERSITY!

Let me explain also - The ONLY reason I was going into HVAC was because I didn't immediately have to pay back my college fees to get enrolled, and because I thought if I was going to do a labor job, it should pay well and have quick opportunity for advancement and be something local so that I can stay with my family.
Having a kid really makes a person grow up fast. I realize that I need to actually get off my butt now and hunker down and really start a career. Failing and dropping out of college is no longer an option.

Good for you, Seth. Wish you all the best. Don't limit yourself. If you're passionate enough about something you can do many great things. Don't deny yourself going after something that you really want to do. You seem to like trying to educate people so maybe that's your path.

Thanks Corey. I'm not limiting myself, really. There are plenty of people who have a bachelors degree that don't actually have a job in what they majored in. For example, I know a VP of a bank that has a degree in biology. lol - Never really know where the winds of life will blow yah. I really do enjoy teaching and educating people - even those that don't want to learn or want to experience it for themselves. I like to inspire young people to do more with their lives and to set high goals and expectations for themselves. I think I will make a great teacher.
Thanks JP. I'm excited about going back to University - even though I had my mind set on doing HVAC, getting a degree in Biology Education is actually a good hiccup in my plans.
