Make plans and set goals. The greatest are the ones who lead by example. If you go after it with the same passion that you put towards this hobby then there's no reason why you couldn't go places.

Awesome man!
Like Corey said make plans and goals with short term and long term goals. A bachelors will take you further than technical certificates.
Most importantly, find something that you will enjoy doing.

I wouldn't necessarily stake my life one that 100%. Like, Seth mentioned, I also knew a handful of folks back home who obtained bachelors degrees early on who can't find good jobs for what they majored in now. And most teachers on the high school level and down don't make a ton of money. On the other hand I've known guys in trades or even folks without any kind of higher education who have used their skills to build businesses or end up working jobs where their earning potential can be just as good if not better than other fields that require a 4 year degree. I think if Seth wants to be successful then he needs to come up with a real plan and go after it with avengance. Take a long hard look at the market you want to get into and then look at that market in your area. Do you see potential there? Sometimes if the money won't come to you then you might have to go to it.
I've got a good buddy down here who is freaking out right now because his wife just obtained her diploma in nursing and has even been offered a job making $45 but she's realized that she doesn't want to do it and now. After all that schooling she's gone through she has come to the conclusion that she doesn't think she can handle the pressure or the challenges of the work. What a huge waste of time and money.

That sucks for that guy.
Im thinking really long term. In the university program, you have to student teach. So, you get a lot of classroom experience. I enjoy it.

Yeah he's a little peeved off about because he's supported her so that she didn't have to work the whole time that she's been in school so that she could focus on just that I think she'll ultimately come to find her niche within the field that's a good compromise of what she can handle and still earn a respectable wage. But as with most people in their mid or late 20's I think she's going through that faze of wondering if the path she's been on is really what's best for her so she's a little bit lost in exactly what direction she want's to go. I can certainly relate as I'm sure most people here could, too.

Yes, i can definitely relate. But also, like i said, having a kid really makes you grow up quick. Lol
They will do that. That's pretty much what happened to my friends. They were in school then got married. They got pregnant so he dropped out of school because he had to work to support them. I think he was going for radiology or something along those lines. So after the kid the plan was for her to go back and finish her schooling (which she did). She's just not working yet although she's had offers. He started out doing maintenance and now he works for a construction company and is making good money but he's pretty much going through what I did years back in that he's having to work his whole life away to earn it and doesn't see his family much and it creates a strain on the relationship. We'd started out doing the hvac thing together at the same time. Now he see's some of the money that I'm starting to earn and he wants to come back to it and potentially be partners with me. We'll see. Teaching and learning comes in a variety of different forms and goes with anything you do. If you can't be happy with what you do then it really isn't going to matter much what it is. Find what comes naturally for you and make it work.
That's the best I got for ya lol. Good luck!

Corey is 100% correct on his advice. And I do not have a bachelors BTW, only a few technical certificates, but I am doing well and happy with my career.
Making a good paycheck is important but spending time with your family is more important.
