Those damn parasites!
Dont you still have to do soemthing about the water? Once their host dies dont they float back into the water coloum, dissapear for a while then come back? I thought you need to kill them while they are on a hosts body or else they stay in your tanks water forever.
They have some sort of cycle they go through, no?
I might be thinking of somehting else. I'm lucky enough to have never had to deal with Ich.

Yeah something still needs to be done....WHAT is the question.....I know if I were to ever get it in my 225G I'd be doomed....

I think its to late now. I think they went back to being dormant, I gues he'll just have to wait and keep a close eye on his fish and catch the ich this time.
Have a QT tank read to go! Once it pops up again you can treat it quickly in the early stages.

My 1g tank should be fine

Your sting ray alone would need a 150-200g lol.
I think you'd be screwed! Specially since the best way to help treatments are when water flows over the fish gills, so they get plenty of oxygen! (Watched this on discovery channel haha)

Exactly...so I have to make sure my fish are healthy, so if anything were to ever get in...They could fight it off...

I'm not adding anymore fish to the 225G, so I should be good (unless something is there, and I just don't know it yet) which is always possible...

A lot of hobbyists will quarantine their coral rock and anything else that goes into their display for the requisite 6 week time frame to ensure no introduction of this type of parasite.

UGH....Well I have been dipping my corals in Lugols....I don;t have a qt

SOOOOOO I guess I just need to hope for the best....
I am thinking of tearing down one of my fw cichlid tanks....although it is only a 16G one....Have not decided.....and even if I did, I really don't know if I would set it up for a sw qt....

Personally I think that the quarantine of everything is a bit anal but I have not had an Ich problem so I guess I am playing Russian roulette here.
