Just don't buy any friggin' cake with food stamps

What about cupcakes? they are totally necessary for a balanced diet!
Have you tried making gluten free? I am gluten sensitive myself which means just about everything I love to eat I can't.

I make a decent gluten free bread but it has a lot of ingredients. I have a bulk foods store nearby that has the stuff cheap. I'm not sure if the stuff is available everywhere

Well get ready because I think the FDA is about to illiminate trans fat in food suppplies.

You're saying you don't notice hydrogenated vegetable oil on ingredient lists?
To your other point I agree.  It should be the consumer that decides if they want toxins in their food or not.
I don't eat much cake or pies in my home so not really.

My point for bringing it up was that it might be something for the o.p. to look into since the changes may or may not effect his business.

Trans fats are virtually non existant now anyway......it is a pointless action.
As it turns out this isn't exactly true. As long as manufacturers don't exeed 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving size then they are allowed to simply say it has 0% trans fat.
The FDA say 2 grams per day is the limit for safe consumption.
But we all know how ridiculously small most recommended serving sizes are. So if you consume say 6 servings of a product that has 0.4 grams bit claims 0% on the lable then you just exeeded the safe limit. See how sneaky that is?
New regulation would illiminate this.
