jmo but i think all shock-jocks should be fired what good do they do..all they do is try to stir up a bees nest everyday, let them get a real job, although i would not want to go to a restaurant and find howard stern as my waiter though tobin

I could care less what happens, just get this off the news. I just don't understand how a story of a guy that calls a basketball team a name (imo, it wasn't even racist...it was more sexist) makes the top story for a week. Our country is at war with soldiers dying every day, and that gets put on the last page?
Honestly, I detest journalists almost as much as I do lawyers. I also abhor people like Sharpton and Jackson that use something as ridiculous as this to gain popularity. If it wasn't for people like Sharpton that try to gain attention by pointing out "apparent racism", the comment would have been forgotten with no harm done. Instead, it's been put on the front page, ridiculing the girls on that team. I think Sharpton shamed those girls much more than Imus did. What will you think of now everytime you picture this team?

u need 2 take into consideration that when someone says nappy headed it was a racist term in the south 2 describe black ppl i feel like it was racist and as far as rappers saying ho it is bleped on mtv and radio so u can't use that as a example and from what i hear that aint the fist time he has siad something racist i think he got what he desierved so he should take his crip keeper lookin @#% and his cowboy hat and go and hang out on his ranch with his wife and kids

i am not an imus fan at all but i know with his ranch for cancer kids he ain't all that bad as a human i myself am recovering from cancer even as i type this remember he was paid to stir it up that is why shock-jocks altogether should go tobin

Yeah, right.....you must watch a different MTV and listen to some unusual radio stations.....you know good and well they don't censor that! And do you honestly think that "music" by almost every rapper is not more of an influence on kids than Don Imus......I bet not ONE of those basketball girls had even HEARD of Don Imus....I bet you didn't know who he was either. If Jesse or Al want to preach about what needs to be in mainstream America, they need to check their own racism at the door......and if you need an education into some of the crap that both of them have spewed ON PUBLIC RADIO AND TV, then I'll be glad to list them for you. Where is THEIR apologies? Where is THEIR criticism of black rappers and black comedians?
