I usually use the rolleyes to mean sarcasm

I was indeed kidding with that post. While there are tangs, that at a minimum need at least an 8-footer, just saying tangs, as a whole, need 8 feet of tank, I thought was funny. Yes, there are tangs, IMO of course
, that are fine in tanks considerably smaller then 8 feet.

If you want a tang, please get a large 8 foot tank or longer.
That is just like the saying people make about no two different species of clownfish in a tank smaller than a 120. Well you have two different pairs of clowns in a 55 gallon tank.
You just cant put all tangs into one catagory and call it good about the whole 8ft tank thing. Yes a Vlamingi and such do need a tank that long at a minimum but a 5" Tomini tang does not need anywhere near a 8ft long tank because they are fine in a 75gallon tank.

For the record, the pink skunk clown female killed the other clownfish pair.
Also, saying that a fish that grows to 24 inches long only needs a 60 inch tank is stupid.
Sure, 5'9" human can live in a 5x5 foot cell if you feed him and remove the waste.
The only people arguing tank space with tangs, already have too many in their tanks. :)
