never had a perc jump out of any tank i have ever had. I had a watchman do it once. What can i do. I am not putting a top on the tank. If its dumb enough to leap then sucks for it. the border around the tank where the beach is should stop it from jumping out.
i hope they are in today..I think the guy shipped them monday. I still need to finish the outter part of the stand...that is last though after i get everything else done.
there is a border all around the sand area of the wallpaper corner protector stuff that keeps it in place. i have hit the whole beach with a spray glue to keep the grass in place.
you can see the borders in these pics
dood.
awesome do- up.
you gain another viewing angle.
only question i have is what about that window? the light coming through there might cause an algae problem.
also- is that a "baseboard" heater of some sort behind the tank? dont know if that should be a concern.
oh yeah- clownfish jump.
just sayin.
getting new blinds so light wont be an issue. the baseboard heater I never use my furnace since I have a nice gas fireplace and that heats my house so there is never any heat comming out of them.
i love the spray glue idea on the "beach". it will protect the sand and keep it from moving around.
hey- nobody can say that you need more gas exchange on that thing.

I am going to probably add 5 or 6 mangrove plants int eh rock area.
What a cool setup. The shoreline beach idea is awesome! Now, if you can find a way to simulate tides, you could do some pretty amazing and original things.
Good job.
