Insane Gas Prices Anyone?

How much has gas gone up for everyone? Two days ago it was $3.47, today it was $4.50 and is expected to reach $5 or $6 a gallon!!!!! Gas lines are crazy. I got to a pump three different times after waiting aboit 15 minutes only to find out that the person before me had used up the last of the gas.

Gas here has been $3.67 here for the last three days. Must be the hurricane affecting your area. We'll see tomorrow if it changes here.

anything higher is crazy. I am sorry, but these refineries only make up 20%.
We have a few refineries around here that are continualy operating WAY less than capacity as are many refineries in the nation. WHY can't some of these refineries pick up a little slack to make up what is being closed down?
Nothing but shear profit once again from big oil companies reaped upon the unfortunate circumstances.
This should be placed in the "price gouging" category.

Got it today at lunch time for $3.55 but noticed on the way home had already gone up .30.

$3.56/ gallon today. Hasn't changed much in the last week. No lines in here in the Philly area. Not yet anyway.

Well, here in good ol Tallahasse, I happened to get gas early this morning, simply because I was on empty as usual. When I got to work, I heard gas prices in town were expected to go up to five dollars before the days end. On my lunch break, the entire city was a madhouse! traffic jams and many fender benders due to the "gas crisis". Quite a few of the smaller stations had gone up to $5 per gallon. The larger ones had gone up about a dollar (in the $4 range).

No changes here in the last week or so. I filled up yesterday afternoon at $3.59 a gallon

Remember though, it's not the individual stores. It's the suppliers that are ripping off.

Yes. But they'll start with the merchant who has to show reasons for increase. If the merchant can prove that the supplier raised prices, they'll go after the supplier.

I filled up yesterday around 7 pm and had to get Premium at 3.85 because they were out of regular and plus. I had to wait on a car or two but no really long line. On my way home this afternoon I saw some station out of gas and the ones that had it were around 3.65 (atleast that's what the sign said).

since last night at 10pm it went from 3.99 to 4.39 at a pilot station which is usually the cheapest around
