LOL...They now sell a non-acetaminophen sleep aid by tylenol...I should have mentioned that...
LOL.. At $7 a box of 24 lol....
I am not one to talk.. I take LOTS of stuff for sleep.. Some work and some make me forget my name..
You can buy the 100 count of generic ben. for about $4...
Either way.. If the problem persists you would want to see a DR about it..Can be a sign of an underlying problem as mine was..

I pop two and I am out within 20 minutes. I struggle to fall asleep. My mind is always racing about something I can do nothing about in the middle of the night. Melatonin rocks!!

Doesn't melatonin mess with your skin if you go out in the sun????

IDK...melanoma is a skin cancer
...I was thinking of something you take that raises your risks in sun exposure
That's why I was thinking perhaps that was what you were thinking.
Hmm, I have never read that about melatonin, but could be possible. Can't say I've researched it, beyond a relative saying "try this"...My sleep is priceless and I subscribe to the quality vs. quantity premise, so if it does raise my exposure...I will pop a couple more and sleep through it.

The first two times I used melatonin I was asleep in 10-15 minutes, instead of the usual 2-4 hours. I also slept for 6 1/2 hours, instead of the normal restless 2-3 hours. After the first two times (a month ago), I fall asleep quickly, but wake up, wide awake, 2-3 hours later and can't go back to sleep. The Wal Mart brand of unisom works well, I usually sleep about 6 hours, but the whole next day I feel like I am a walking corpse. Also, I signed up for facebook to look for my best man from 21+ years ago. All my old friends found me and are constantly posting stuff like, "just got tacos from Taco Bell! Yummy!" or "someone just cut me off on I-84. I hate traffic". Like I care?

Melatonin(sp) even in higher doses has never worked for me.
I have diagnosed insomnia...some times i find my self awake for 5 or 6 days straight... some times more.
When i do sleep i can't seem to find REM.
So at most i'm at a light nap for a couple hours.
Insomnia is not fun...Unless you have a really fun/interesting job/career to devote all that time to and make lots of money...
Hmm...
Just my two cents i suppose.
