Uhhh, I'd probably hold off on that trip in two weeks
. Construction has just begun, and it's not slated to open to the public till April 2010.

Come to Cedar Point in OH instead. They have two that are taller and faster, and are in operation
. Mellenium force 310' height 93 mph...that's 10 more feet and 1 more mile per hour
...or top thrill dragster 420' high and launches you from 0-120 mph in under 4 secs.

I lover roller coasters and that looks awesome. I have been to Cedar Point and they have great coasters. Didn't have the dragster when I there though but I've seen it on Discovery channel and it looks like an amazing ride.

I haven't been on or seen the dragster in person either...I am guessing a bit intimidating. I'd have to get a couple in me
. 420' is UP there.

The entire ride is over in about 10 - 15 seconds. After the initial 'launch', you have about a 3 second 'lull' at the top apex to look at the lake, then you head straight down with a spiral spin added. Very smooth and awesome ride. It just funny how you wait in line for up to 2 hours during peak park periods for a ride that short.

Cedar Point is the best roller coaster park in the US. Top thrill is amazingly fast and tall. Top thrill is the best coaster out there. They also have like 17 coasters now. Only 16 when I went but a great place all together.

Have to get them off before they 'yak
.
I was in Florida in June and went on the rock and roll rollercoaster at hollywood studios...and that went 0-60 in I don't remember how many seconds...I am thinking 2.9. I know that took my breath away. I can't imagine 0-120 then the climb. I would probably loose it during the 3 second "lull". That would be a real test for me.
