How long should I keep my lights on. I have a new mini reef tank. It has 2 CF bulbs one actinic one daylight. I plan to add a small anenome and have read many different things about light cycles. I plan to add several diferent corals slowly over time but right now I have one small clownfish and I plan to add the carpet anenome today. I look forward to being a part of discussions in this forum. Thanks everybody!

Just my opinion but I don't think a Carpet Anemone will work very long in a 20 gallon tank. Sorry
Your lighting can be 10 - 12 hours.

I wouldn't get a carpet anenome ....they can out-grow a 55gal in less than a year.
Lights: start at 10 hours per day....but watch the temp
