Is ick flat?

i recently saw my clown fish with a dot on it, it wasn't flat and I think is the salt that didn't get dissolved properly... and five minutes later it's gone, so what do you think?

Ich is three dimensional. It could have been a fierce of sand stuck to the fish. Ich does fall off so I'd keep a close eye on the fish.

Ick is a microscopic parasite. What you see as a white bump is the fish's immune system reacting to the parasite. If it goes away then the immune system killed off THAT one parasite. If there is one there are thousands.

Hopefully it was just a piece of sand.

You can introduce ick into your tank. A single parasite or much more depending on how many attach to the fish they can in fact fall off and not be killed by the immune system of the fish you feel safe BUT thery are just in another stage of their life cycle.
