i noticed the GHT trigger make an attack on the CT yesterday...the CT used to have a fat stomach like blown upafter it would eat it would be real nice and fat on the bottom of its body...now hes just lying timid behind or under a cave and he is skinny on the bottom looks like extra skin is there but tha rest of him looks ok and hes eating ...is it alarming to see him not fat and just hiding in caves..he also was the last edition and the other have been in a for a months the ght maybe 5-6 weeks. thanks. is this normal or might he be wounded ?

Not normal , Sounds like its been getting beat up by the GHT . My advice would be to get it back in to the QT and observe it there .

Thanks. So if it's like a Queen, it must be a mean bugger then.

they seem to now be getting along fine...just when i got the clown it was plump and fat on its belly now not that much...but getting better...is this an inclination of the belly not being fat as a sickness or possibly somthing serious wrong ? I don't have a QT for a 6 inch clown trigger that would just stress it out more. thanks.

Triggers are aggressive fish and some are not going to get along; there isn't much (IMO) that we can do to change that fact, just nature at work. Also, anytime you add any fish to an established tank, there can be trouble. Fish learn their place and protect their territory; any addition scrambles the pecking order. The fact that aggressive fish are involved makes this even more likely.

Sounds to me like he has worms of some sort, this is the likely case anytime a fish is eating well, yet still getting thinner....I would post that you have a trigger with possible worms in "desease and treatment", and hopefully Sepulatian or Beth will advise you how to treat most appropriatly.

I don't believe the treatment for worms is very severe, I think you just put it in their food and feed all the fish
...I just recommended asking in the desease forum as those 2 know a lot more about it.....Sorry for your frustration, nobody said this hobby is always easy.

I had a copperband do the exact same thing!! He ate and ate and ate, but got skinnier and skinnier. I even put him in QT and gave him this copper based food thinking he had some sort of worms. He ended up dying, and I know it's gross but in the name of research... I cut him in half looking for any types of worms... Nothing, but he did exhibit signs of a bacterial infection before he died. He got the blood red hicki looking things on his sides.
Lemme see if I can find the thread with the recommended treatment. For me it was to late, but you may still have time if you fish has the same thing...

TIZZ!! What the heck did you feed your fish?? You should have come to us when you saw the symptoms. When fish eat and eat, yet get skinnier, there is an internal infection or parasites.

If you give up.Then you should not be in this hobby.just letting your fish die because you are to lazy or tired to treat them is cruel and unjust.People like you ruin this hobby for everyone. Please give your fish to some one that can take care of them properly.I have followed your threads for months about all you triggers you want to add.And everyone told you about the possibilities of problems. If you can't handle the aggression and problems that come with these type of fish, then you need to get rid of them and get some clown fish.just my opinion.
