Is the war with Iran coming?

I'm a little torn on this one. Most people probably know my opinions about Iraq so I'll leave that one alone. But the Iran issue appears to be coming to a head. Unlike Iraq, they are a legitimate threat (sorry but I had to throw that in).
I read these articles and it appears that war with Iran may be a foregone conclusion. And I can't say that I'd disagree with the war. However I do worry about the international viewpoint of us targeting Arabs. I also have concern over the unification of formerly separate Arab threats.
A couple of the articles are below. Any thoughts...
Guardian: "Cheney pushes Bush to act on Iran", http://www.guardian.co.uk/print/0,,3...110878,00.html
Bob Baer, Time Magazine: "Prelude to an attack on Iran",

New York Times: Bush admin labels Iran's 125k Revolutionary Guard troops "terrorists",

You know, I actually read an article yesterday I believe where IRANian forces were moving into norther IRAQ and moving/fighting against the kurds in the region. This occurred in april.
Iran will be the next front, I am sure of this. Simply because of their refusal to compromise and their active interest in Nuclear power. However that will be a move made by the next President. Bush will not move into or against IRAN unless he absolutely has no choice (case in point Iran attacks us).

How do you know they are a threat?

The difference between Iran and Iraq is that the population in Iraq were pretty much sheep and the Hussein dictatorship wasn't going away any time soon. The younger Iranians are very pro west and even have a favorable view of the US. If we can possible avoid military action Iran will eventually become a moderate government on their own. If we have to blow the living crap out of them that isn't likely to happen.
Anyone else think it ironic that the only country to ever use a nuke would be the one to forbid others from having them? I mean it was absolutly the right thing for us to do when we used them but still.....

If I told you that water was wet, you'd probably ask me to prove it, right?

No, I think what Journey is doing is this. Before we went into Iraq 75% of the country and the modern western world said Iraq was a threat and Dangerous. Now we here he wasn't a threat and harmless....similar news was coming coming out about Iraq for 10 years prior to our marching on Baghdad.
His point is what is the difference between this sitution and the Iraq situation in the beginning.

Bingo. I don't want this to turn into another "Bush lied" situation. Iraq was attacking US and allied pilots, was going against UN resolutions, hindering UN inspectors, and was thought to be stockpiling WMD's by the leading intelligence agencies across the world....

Ya ive heard this theory, essentially it is to keep us out of war with Iran. If we can surround Iran with democracy, the middle east can sort it out and it will be hard to recruit when no one can come in and the surrounding nations offer so much more

I dont know about surrounding Iran with Democracy, but i bet Iran is aware its almost surrounded by the world finest military forces that dont have a very fond outlook on a county that is sponsoring and supplying insurgents to kill there brothers in arms.

It just hit me, we will not pull our troops out of afghanistan or Iraq until we know what is going on with Iran. In which case we will pull out of Iraq and afghanistan and launch right into Iran from two fronts....

How in the crap can we afford it? After our national income raises and Bush is out of office maybe. Plus I don't see a lot of people in front of recruiting offices. Maybe if we did go and Bush is out, then maybe we'll get some support from more nations, but we can't afford another war. IMO

Bottom line with the situation with Iran is that after we exhausted ALL DIPLOMATIC MEASURES ea severe sanctions, UN etc etc, with Iran for them to abandon their Nuclear Program for enriching uranium IS we cannot as the "last super power" on the planet allow a rogue, terrorist filled, radical Islam nation rulled by mullahs that have radical islam views, which is dedicated to destruction of ISRAEL and that any other religion besides Muslim is blasphemous. Also to quote Iranian President Ah Majinidad "Israel should be wiped off the map!" Should not have access to nuclear weapons at any and all costs! Yes I know there are already rogue unstable countries with access to nukes, like Pakistan and the Un accounted number of nukes bought and sold on the black market from the former Soviet Union. But we must look into the future from preventing ANYMORE rogue countries from getting any!
