i order a clean up crew off of swf.com that included a cucumber, but there were two bags with worm things that looked similar and i was wondering what exactly this was? I have read on this board that they are toxic if they die or get stressed. Shoud I remove it or what?
It's about 3" long and is about 1/2" across
Thanks alot,
Kyle

Yeah, its called a cuke nuke. A Doc. who visits the same LFS as I, had it happen to him. He had to start over on his reef, and he had a truely impressive one.
Good Luck

Hey Kyle,
It looks like a beneficial 'Cuke to me. I would keep it unless you have agressive fish.

Would you say that you could pickle it . . . . ;)

Well Bang I dont think ill be eating it anytime soon:D, but it does sound kinda delicious. Like those people in Africa eating those huge grub worms.
Would it be better if i got a closer, clearer picture of it, i will pull it out of the rock and take a closeup.
Thanks,
Kyle

Yes, that is a beneficial cuke. I have had one on my reef for a little over a year now. He just sifts sand all day. The size of mine averages around 6 inches. I've had no problems with mine thus far.
Good luck
