Is this thing alive or dead?

I just put this new piece of LR in my tank last week and all of a sudden tonight I noticed this tiny clam opened up. You can't tell in the pic but there are real tiny hairs outlining the opening of him.

and BTW-- Isn't this the cutest face you've ever seen? My little Milan....

It's definately a Bi-valve and it's definately alive.
I can't tell what it really is from the picture. I would guess a Turkey Wing Clam but with a better pic I could tell you more. Could be an Oyster or a boring Clam as well but right now my money is on the Turkey Wing.

Yeah I think it's dead, I looked inside and it's completely empty. I don't know much about clams, but I assume it shouldn't be empty lol

I have those all over my tank. But they are alive because mine are open somtimes and closed others. They also grew into my LR. i have a really nice one, black with green spots.
